Lake Burton Cutting Board - Bamboo with Handle
Add a touch of local flare to your kitchen with a Lake Burton cutting board. Each bamboo cutting board features a map of Lake Burton and a notation of the year it was established.
An advantage of bamboo cutting boards is that bamboo is a more sustainable and renewable wood source than other types of wood used in cutting boards. It can reach maturity around 4 years and does not need special irrigation systems, fertilizer, or replanting after harvest.
Cutting Board Specifications:
Your choice of a Small (8.5"x11") or Large (9.5x13"). Both boards are approximately 3/8" thick.
Made of natural bamboo
Design is created by laser engraving
Bamboo Cutting Board Use & Care:
The design side of board is primarily for decorative use.
If used as a cutting board it is recommended to use the back side to maintain the design.
Before first use hand wash with warm, soapy water. Do not soak or submerge. Towel dry completely.
Add one or more coats of mineral oil or specialized board oil for bamboo boards and let board absorb the oil completely before use.
Maintain board with oil monthly or as needed to build up a water-resistant barrier.
NOTE: Due to the way Bamboo is cut and made into boards it has the tendency to laser unevenly. It will engrave to the same depth across the image, but there may be strips of lighter and darker engraved areas across the design. This is due to the natural tendencies of the bamboo to have varied density throughout and will laser differently along each band of bamboo.
